Located between Ruthin, Denbigh, near St Asaph and not far from Llangollen in North Wales. Pentre Mawr Country House is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty just below Offa’s Dyke, the long distance walk through the Welsh borders. It has an AA 5 star highly commended grading and an AA Dining Award. While it has all the facilities of a luxury hotel such as a swimming pool, suites with hot tubs and superior rooms some with four poster beds, we strive to give everyone the warmest welcome, which we feel is more important than anything else. Close by are several golf courses as well as being in easy reach of Chester, Snowdonia, Conwy, the Welsh Coast and the Horseshoe Pass in Llangollen. The famous historical Welsh Castles of Conwy, Denbigh and Rhuddlan and the smallest city in Wales, St Asaph with it’s cathedral are just a short drive away.
